Welcome to my screencast everybody, hello, my name is Katrina, and I am studying Paralegal Technology at Ahuntsic College. For those of you who don’t know about my program, I am going to explain a little bit. All of my courses prepare me to help lawyers and notaries. It implies to work with rigor and thoroughness by writing acts, and doing some research. I need to give a good product to my boss and a good service to my clients.

As French speakers, nobody can speak a proper English without hesitating. Everybody is struggling at some point, am I right? Don't you think that everyone would love to write without hesitating? We all want that and no one will ever stress again.

I admit that we have only been speaking English since the age of 8 years old, but this is the beginning of an exploit. We are not expert, but we are better than everybody else. I have been researching for the best English corrector and I am motivated to use this tool for a long time.

I have two years completed in research for my program, since this was the first thing that we did. I have been awarded for being the best student in all my class in third secondary too.

I am going to demonstrate that the virtual writing tutor is actually good for all the students in my class.

Let me tell you the problem, when you need to write an act in English, you can save time by checking your grammar. Once you wrote the act, you would be able to say it in simply way.

If you can't write in English without errors, you may not be hired, because in law, you need to speak French and English perfectly.

For example, imagine you need to write an application to institute divorce proceedings in English, because your clients are English speakers. You need to make zero mistake, because the judge is going to read it, and this is not professional.

Like I said in the beginning, as French speakers, this can be tricky. But don't worry, I have the solution. In this screencast, I will demonstrate how to use the virtual writing tutor, just like a paralegal technician will do it.

First, open Google. Type "Virtual Writing Tutor" and hit enter. If you typed it correctly, you would see the link in first.

In the top right corner, you have the scroll bar, but you already know how to use it, you also have the x to quit. You have the logos and the icons of social media link. Plus you have the drop down menu.
In the upper middle, you have the navigation bar with all the tools that you will need to use the Virtual Writing Tutor
In the top left corner, you have the logo.
In the center, you have the text area, and all the buttons to check your text.
At the top of the screen, you have your search bar to write the URL.
At the bottom of the screen, you have some instructions.

Our problem was to write an act without any mistake. This is the solution: here is my text. It is talking about a divorce. So, you copy paste your text in the text area, and you click "check grammar". It will scroll down to what the Virtual Writing Tutor find as mistake. It is going to define how to use your word properly and correct it in the right way.

So, if you are in Paralegal Technology, this is how to use the Virtual Writing Tutor to solve the problem of writing an act. I kept my promise, I demonstrated how to use it. Now, this will be a life changer.
