How to use the Virtual Writing Tutor grammar checker

Introduction

Hi, my name is Evelyne Martineau, an 18 years old student that has been studying Pure and Applied Science for 3 semesters at Montmorency College, but I'm planning to study in biochemistry in university. My program is a pre-university program that is needed for those who want to do a job that involves science like chemistry, biology or physics. We also do advanced math that are very useful in the other subjects. I have to do all these sciences courses to fulfill my goal of becoming a biochemist.

The Problem

In all the science domain, we often have to do reports and sometimes write articles for science magazine. The problem is if you want your report or your article to be credible, the main criterion is to not have any error in your text and some of our text are in English because it's the universal language. For some of us, English is our second language and even if it's your first language, you will often do grammar error that have to be corrected but you don't see them after you read another time your text. That's why I will introduce you the solution for this problem, the Virtual Writing Tutor grammar checker. In this video, I will show you how to use the grammar checker and how useful this tool can be.

The Quest

First, open your browser. Type the URL Virtual Writing Tutor dot com into the address bar and hit enter. If you typed the URL correctly, you will see this page with this logo in the top left corner of the screen.

At the top of the middle of the screen, you will see the navigation menu of the website that offers other tools, but we don't need it for this tutorial because the URL brings us directly to the grammar checker. In the middle of the screen, you will see the text area and just above it, also in the middle of the screen, you will see the navigation menu for the grammar checker with many submit buttons like the "word count" button, the " check punctuation" button and the most important, the "check grammar" button.

The Solution

Now here is what you have to do to correct your text with the grammar checker. First, copy your text from the writing software you use by using the right click of your mouse. Go back to the Virtual Writing Tutor tab and paste your text in the text area with the right click. After this is done, click on the second submit button of the navigation menu above the text area that is named "Check Grammar". Now, scroll down, and you will see all the mistake you did and their correction. You just have to correct them in your text according to the Virtual Writing Tutor corrections and you will have a perfect text with no mistake in it!
