Hi, my name is Jade Gervais. I am in the Natural Sciences program, Health profile, since this year. I still have one year left in this program before graduating. Like you, I don’t want to feel ridiculous searching for a word in front of a colleague or anyone, or not knowing the definition of a word when someone is speaking. However, I don’t want to search in a big dictionary every time I don’t know a word. It would be a lot easier if there were a small dictionary with just the words you need. That way, we would never be embarrassed anymore.
I always took the most advanced classes in high school, but when I started college, I faced a lot of difficulties memorizing every new word in every class. It took me a while to adjust, but I was able to establish a good study routine.
Thanks to that I was able to be over every average to every class.
My goal is to show you how to learn easily a lot of word and there definition.

Let me explain the problem. In college, we learn a lot of new words, but it doesn’t stop there. When you go to university and even later at work, there are even more.
If you don’t memorize them step by step, you will fall behind, and it will be a lot more difficult to learn all of them. Also, you might feel embarrassed in front of others, and we don’t want that—you want to look professional
Imagine that you are at work, and someone is talking to you. In their sentence, they say a word that you don’t understand, but you were supposed to know. You don’t want to ask what it means, because you will feel humiliate.
I know that it is not easy, so that why I am going to share the solution. In the next few minutes, I'll show you exactly how to solve this problem.
First, open your browser. Type Virtual Writing Tutor into the address bar and hit enter. If you typed the URL correctly, you will see this page.
If you have typed it correctly, you will see the logo in the top left-hand corner. In the top right-hand corner, you will see a link on the navigation menu to login. Beside that, you have all the options and tools of the website.
Under that, in the middle of the screen is the text area. In the bottom right-hand corner of the text area are a series of icons to help you with your pronunciation.
Just above the text area are all the buttons you will need to correct your text.
Now for the problem we want to solve, you need to click on Writing Tools and Glossary Creator. For those who don't know, a glossary is a list of terms and their definitions, usually found at the end of a book, article, or document. It helps explain specialized or difficult words. With that, you can create your own dictionary with all the new word you have to learn and understand. To create it, you have to enter your title and then follow the instructions. All the steps are described, and each step includes an example.
