I study in criminology and my glossary helps either young people or adults that are in the correctional system, rehabilitate them to society and provide support, so they don't do crime anymore and get on the right path in life.

Example: He committed the theft to finance his drug addiction.

A correctional officer is responsible for maintaining security and order within correctional facilities such as prisons, jails, and detention centers.
Example: This correctional officer is looking for drugs in cells.

Rehabilitation is the process of re-educating those who have committed a crime and preparing them to re-enter society.
Example: We are working with these ex offenders to rehabilitate them to society.
