My name is Léanne Asselin and I’m currently studying in my second year of police Technology. This glossary contains 20 words related to my field of study that I found relevant. Right now in Canada, there is an increasing shortage of police officers, which causes problems for ensuring public safety. At the same time, the police are often perceived negatively, because of criticism of certain interventions. The lack of labor and public distrust, complicates the work of law enforcement and the recruitment of new police officers. I believe that my glossary can help people better understand the world of the police, and perhaps even realize that despite the mistakes the police may have made of may make, they will always be ready to defend and protect the society. I found 20 words in the coursebook "Actively Engaged" by Nicholas Walker. I chose the words that best represented the police in my opinion, and then I found the definitions online. All you have to do is look trough the glossary while thinking about the problems the police are facing.
Arrest
