My name is Jade Morin. I am an 18-year-old student whose start it's second years at Ahuntsic College in Police Technology. Police Technology is a three-year program that is given full-time in certain colleges in Quebec. It is a training that leads us to have the necessary knowledge to be able to integrate the national police school. Our training is oriented to enable us to gain knowledge related to law, communication, intervention methods, sociology and learn defines skills. Being in Police Technology also involves knowing many words related to the police field. It is important for our future work as we will have to interact with and report in both languages.
By using the glossary method, I chose 23 terms that you should know if you want to be a police officer. The purpose of this glossary is to help you develop your vocabulary related to the field. I chose the terms that are found there according to the frequency with which they are used. If you are able to master these 23 terms well, you will probably have a much better understanding when you read articles on the subject and hear things about the police.
