Hi, my name is Vincent. I am living in Saint-Jérôme and it is my first study year in business management at College Lionel-Groulx. My field of study is to learn the way that business works and all the aspects of this matter that will allow me to be an expert in human relations. Depending on my department, that can be Finance, Marketing, Research and Development or any other. The ultimate goal will be to understand the human behavior and to find a way to use it in order to grow the company I will be working for. This glossary could be useful to bring a good definition of my studying because almost everybody who asked me about this program concluded that it means to manage a shop.

human behavior

Human behavior encompasses all the gestures that a person does every day and all his life. It is essential to understand this in business because there is a reason why you buy any product and it is for sure related to a human behavior.

human relations

Human relations are very much used in a company. There are good and bad ways to treat an employee, and the wrong way will have very bad results on the person's work, moral and performance. Just as good treatment will make business grow and advance!

leadership

It is very important to have leadership in running a business because all of your employees need to be mentored and to work together to try to achieve a collective goal. Wealthy company always have a true leader, and if there is none, people would not or less believe in what they are working for and will start to look for another job.

marketing

Marketing is related to the human behavior because this is how we find a business opportunity. All the behaviors that someone have are predictable so it could be easy to think about the world, discover something that will help someone's daily life and develop this famous product. Marketing is largely used by spreading publicity too.

salary

Salary may seem like a normal fact, but it's important to pay an employee as his just value. If the employee is paid well, he will bring you good results. It is true that if the salary is higher, the liquidity of the company will be less but it is a long term investment.
