What is psychology?

Introduction

Hi viewers, I am Hibba Malik. I am an 18-year-old student in Quebec. Basically, I study Social Science precisely psychology, at Montmorency College.

My goal in this screencast is to show you guys how to use virtual writing tutor if yo have trouble in English while working as a psychologist. For a quick recap, I'll say that psychology is a study that leads to the understanding of the different reactions and functions of the brain. Which I think is fascinating and important. Every single person should know at least a little about this topic. It concerns our health and if there is something wrong with it we can at least have some minim ideas about how to solve it.

People often tend to have this specific idea about people who write in public spots with mistakes and I know that nobody wants to be like those people. Mistakes are really common specially with people like us who speaks more French than English. It's hard to solve this issue, but there are always obstacles.

It has been 2 years that I'm in this field and I will not lie, I think that it is kind of long and there are so many things to understand, but nothing is easy and as longest that I am interested in time will fly. The real obstacle here is that I study in French, but in future I will receive English speaking patients too. Writing in English without mistakes is quite a challenge for me. In the end, it is totally worth it. At least it's worth a try.

In those years, I have learned a lot. I have been able to understand the people in my environment and being able to talk to them in their dark times.
I have been understanding big amount of things about my brain.
I have been able to control my stress by understanding the source.

My main goal is to show to the world how important is mental health by being a professional, because talking in a professional way and studying about something will give much more information, I'll sound much credible and I will be sure about what I am talking. Writing stuff in English on some type of social sites will help, because many people understand this language.

The Problem

This field with the many advantages that it has there are also some problems. After graduating, one of the main issues could be when writing resumes writing with errors. For example, when a patient is talking to you as a psychologist you are making a report too. So if you write your remarks about the patient with English mistakes in it because English isn't really the language that you use the most it will be a serious problem. You won't sound credible.

In some worst cases you would not be able to write good reports in English for a patient. Overall, what I mean is that if this happens this will affect your credibility and it will have a bad impact on your carrier.

As an example, let's assume that you're a psychologist. You have to deal with that very angry, depressed client that has suicidal thoughts. He is an English-speaking person. While he is talking to you, your understanding and reaction in a good way, but now it's time to make your reports. As a matter of fact, majority of times you speak French and you write in French so when it comes to writing in English you have certain difficulties.

That can be annoying for sure, but no worries they're solutions to this problem. They will be explained in a few.

The Quest

Let's start by getting into the browser. Then type this URL in the address bar on top and press the enter button. A blue page with a big logo on the top left should appear.

If you are on the right page you should see this big Virtual Writing logo in the top left corner. In the top right corner there will be those logos of different apps that will let you share your content. In this middle area as you can see there is a box where you will be able to write your text. On top of this box there are some icons that specifies what will happen if you click on it. If you scroll down you will see a big text that will explain how to use this website.

The Solution

To give the solution the problem I mentioned earlier is that if a psychologist write a text in the Virtual Writing Tutor before writing it in the report the errors in his text will be corrected automatically by this website. For example, if I write, "I am a psychologidt" as you can see there is a mistake in my sentence, but after writing it if he clicks on this "check grammar" button it automatically gives him his mistake and gives a suggestion. Finally he can correct it and that way there will be no mistakes in the text.
