I believe safety is very important for everyone. Most people want to live in a society where they feel protected and safe.
I am not a police officer yet, but I have done research about this program and this career.
I have learned a lot about police techniques and the responsibilities that police officers have in society.
My goal today is to show you a problem related to the job of a police officer and to give you a solution to solve this problem.

In a few moments, you will discover a problem that affects many police officers, but few people talk about it.
Police officers sometimes face criticism or mistrust from the public, which can make their work more difficult. In some situations, citizens may not fully understand the decisions or actions of police officers.
If trust is missing, the relationship between the police and the community can weaken, which may lead to conflicts or reduce police effectiveness.
For example, after a stop or an arrest, some people may question the legality or fairness of the action and may become violent as a result.
I am going to show you an online tool that the police can use to prove that an arrest is justified.
The website I found is called Canadian Legal Information Institute, also known as CanLII. To find it, open Google Search and type CanLII Canada in the search bar. Then click on the link that leads to canlii.org.
At the top of the homepage, you can see the logo of CanLII. In the center of the page, there is a search bar where users can type legal terms. In the navigation menu, there are links to different sections such as Canadian laws, provincial laws, and court decisions.On the page, you can also find several buttons and links that help users open legal documents and court cases. At the bottom of the page, there are additional links that give more information about the website.
Now I will show you how this website can solve a real problem. First, go to the search bar. Then, type, for example, “use of force Criminal Code Canada.” Next, click on the result that corresponds to the Criminal Code section about the use of force. You can now read the exact law and official rules.Using this website, a police officer can explain their actions with legal references, show that they follow the law, and reduce mistrust while responding to public criticism.
Today, my goal was to introduce Police Technology, explain the problem of public criticism or mistrust, and present a tool that helps police officers be more transparent and accountable.
