You want to choose a name that represents the business identity, that is catchy, that attract costumers and more importantly a name that won't get you in legal copyright issues.
As a beginner in accounting, although I am looking to create my own company, I am not an expert, and I am still studying in that field. Therefore, there is a lot more to learn. I've seen many people do this error when it comes to start their businesses.

Let's say you already chose the name of your company, and you know the field or the need that your business will cover, but you don't know where to register so that the government can recognize the name legally.
Somebody else can snatch up that name, register it, and gain the right for that name just before you had the chance to use it.
For instance, when I first started my clothing brand, I had difficulty trademarking the name of the brand because somebody else had a similar name for theirs. Mine was "Mindless" and theirs were "Myndless" with a y. So, it took a while to register, and it only registered because the other brand went inactive. So, it's not a guaranty that your name will get approved.
I understand the process might be a little confusing but stay with me and it will be so simple, I promise.
First open your browser. Type trademarks guide Canada and click on the first link. Once you are in, you might want to read the instruction first.
If we scroll through the page, we can see clearly the steps and the instructions for trademarking your business name.
Once you read the instructions, come back on the top of the page. Go ahead and click on "filing a trademark application". Then, click on the link that says "file your application and pay the fee online", Scroll all the way down #5, login in with your bank or create an account and register your trademark. Click on create a new national application and fill in the information.
