My name is Sarah-Maude, and I am 18 years old. I have been studying Social Sciences for seven months now. After my two college years, I will go to university to become a lawyer. With that said, I made this glossary to help people familiarized themselves with the vocabulary of Law and Paralegal Technology`s field of study. This field of study is for students who wish to have a profession in law, either a lawyer or a person who administers justice. My glossary contains twenty legal terms, parts of speech, definitions, pictures, audio, translations, and examples.

A sworn statement in writing made especially under oath or on affirmation before an authorized magistrate or officer.
Example: The witness's affidavit was presented to the court as evidence.

One who is legally appointed to transact business on another's behalf.
Example: He finished law school and became an attorney.

noun
An official in a court of law who keeps order, looks after prisoners, etc.
Example: Attorneys are going at each other and the bailiff might have to intervene.

A person who commits burglary; housebreaker.
